Canon PIXMA iX7000 

Most inkjet printers designed to handle paper up to A3 + geared primarily at photo enthusiasts or graphic professionals. However, the Canon Pixma iX7000 is in the small office market, where the plain paper print more frequently and larger page size is directed requires more for posters, flip charts, and other business printing. That's not to say that this machine can not produce good pictures in a larger size, but they are not its main function.

As you might expect, this is not a small machine. It is wider than almost any printer we've tested, and if printed on A3 + fully opened, it is almost as deep as it is wide. Fortunately, when printing small sizes, both input and output trays can be telescoped in, save a lot of space, and the rear compartment is designed for photo paper, can be folded up on the top cover of the printer.

There are three different paper source Pixma iX7000, with a 250-sheet paper tray into slots on the front, 20-sheet input tray and 10 sheet rear manual feed slot before another, above the output tray. This makes the machine very versatile because you save plain paper, when printing from one of the other two sources.

As might be expected, the controls are minimal, with large buttons and indicators for power and a smaller one for paper feeding. There is no USB socket faceplate, which is a bit of a shame, but there is a socket in the rear panel for USB and Ethernet.

Lift the lid and the printer carriage support head in the view, which is a black cartridge twin (text and photo inks) together with the cyan, magenta and yellow for a full, four-color printing. Canon helps LED indicator is used to indicate when the cartridge is inserted correctly and needs when the ink is running out and replaced are.

It cartridge sixth, however, is positioned below the cover on the left side of the printer carriage. Clearly marked, this coat of paint applied to the role of each sheet of plain paper to the pigment ink Canon 'Lucia' sit in the layer and not directly onto the paper. Canon claims this leads to brighter, more detailed prints are not dealt with on paper.
